Graduate Student Gala

Saturday, December 5th, 7 pm at Atherton Hotel. A night of dinner and dance with GSA.

Tickets: $10 for Graduate Students and $20 for Guests
(Proceeds go to Centre County Women's Resource Center )

A limited number of tickets will be available to spouses/partners, family, and friends, of graduate students. 
Only 1 guest ticket allowed per graduate student.

GSA Film Series - Mother of Mine

November 19, Thursday 8pm and 9:40pm at 112 Kern Building.

Synopsis

During World War II, more than 70,000 Finnish children were evacuated to neutral Sweden to avoid the conflict. "Mother of Mine," the latest from the award-winning Klaus Haro ("Elina"), tackles that painful patch of history in a tale of 9-year-old Eero, a child who increasingly feels abandoned by his biological Finnish mother and yet not attached to his Swedish surrogate mom. When he is returned to Finland, his confusion intensifies.

The GSA is funded through a portion of the activity fee paid for by graduate students.  We are committed to having representation from all academic colleges to serve in GSA and exercising their right to vote on how these funds should be spent.  There are still many positions open in our committees.  Please refer to our Committees page for more info.  If anyone is interested, you may email the respective committee chair.
